Shortly after the birth of Jesus a wise prophet named Simeon declared to Mary ‘that a sword would pierce through her soul’. It's often mentioned in our Christian meetings and maybe especially around Communion. And rightly so, but how often do we truly take time to contemplate what the Cross of Jesus means, and more importantly, meant to Jesus?
