Elaine has been with Elim Nursing Homes since May 1992, in April 2007 she became General Manager, she views her job as her vocation. Her desire is to ensure the Homes maintain their reputation for providing high quality safe and effective care for all residents choosing to live life in our Homes.
She feels the Homes are a very important part of the Elim Movement promoting the Christian Ethos, providing care for the residents, employment for staff and supporting the local economy.
There is nothing Elaine enjoys better than going home at the end of a busy day to her dog she also enjoys going to the gym, cooking, foreign travel, reading and DIY.
It is our sincere objective to provide a happy, homely, non-clinical and non-institutionalised atmosphere, thus giving support, security and assistance to elderly people who for various reasons are no longer capable of coping either alone or with help in their own environment.
We would endeavour to encourage residents to lead and maintain a regular routine, maintaining personal dignity, independence and individuality. This will involve physical, emotional and spiritual help.
At the Elim Nursing Homes we are committed to providing high quality safe and effective care in a Christian setting for those who choose to live life in our Private Nursing Homes.
The philosophy and practice within our Homes leads to a friendly, caring and stimulating atmosphere where patients are listened to and feel valued, their rights upheld, their cultural and religious beliefs are respected, and living in the Home is a positive and beneficial experience.
In order to achieve this, management and staff at all times seek to maintain the following values:
DIGNITY AND RESPECT
EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY
We believe that these values, when integrated into all aspects of planning and delivery of care within the Homes make them a resource that delivers the best possible outcomes for patients living here
