Social Justice Ministry
Gayle who heads up the charity in Ireland felt God placing it on her to heart to help the victims of Human Trafficking and so began the ministry in June 2012.
Gayle is married to Marc and they have 2 Children. She also enjoys running and has recently taken part in Belfast Marathon.
Invisible Traffick (I.T.), formally known as Freedom Project Ireland, was established in June 2012 and was rebranded in Jan 2014 to Invisible Traffick.
One of our aims is to help raise the awareness of the horrors of Human Trafficking. We also recognise the need to educate our children to be aware of the signs and dangers of Human Trafficking and so an Education Resource Pack called Visi's World has been launched for the Primary Sector (key stage 1+2). This focuses on child slavery on the Ivory Coast working in the cocoa plantations. To coincide with NI curriculum this encourages our children to understand the significance of being better citizens, caring and looking out for each other and also encouraging them to buy Fair Trade products.
Alongside fundraising to raise the necessary funds for the charity, in 2014 we launched an advertising campaign called Slavery Near Your Door to help raise public awareness. Other ventures have included working alongside the Department of Justice on the Ministers' Engagement Group and training volunteers to launch an ongoing telephone support line to help identify victims of Human Trafficking.
Currently there are more than 28 million people being trafficked into slavery, worldwide, today. More slaves than there has ever been at any one time in the history of the world. What breaks God's heart breaks our heart too.
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me... to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound..." Isaiah 61:1
